Munich Security Conference 2024
While international decision-makers will once again meet in Munich this year, numerous events for the public will take place on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.
The public events offer the general public the opportunity to follow and participate in the debates of the Munich Security Conference at first hand. The focus of the events will be on current issues such as the "Zeitenwende" in German security policy and the need for innovation in the field of digital and information technology, as well as the link between security policy and culture.
The public events are often organized with partners such as the Munich Chamber Orchestra, the Literaturhaus München or the Cyber Innovation Hub of the German Armed Forces.
The following events will be offered to the public as part of the 60th Munich Security Conference. Please note varying information on registration. Next to the participation in Munich some of the events will be streamed live on our website.

MSC Security and Literature Series
The series focuses on the relationship between literature and politics. By which means can literature gauge security and stability in society.

MSC Innovation Night
High-level politicians and innovative thought leaders come together for an exciting, open and unique dialogue on the eve of the conference.

MSC Concert
The traditional MSC Concert with the Munich Chamber Orchestra (MKO) and a panel discussion in Munich's Cuvilliéstheater.

BMW Responsible Leaders Hub
Stimulating discussions on society, politics, business and innovation in the BMW Foundation pavilion.

MSC@Amerikahaus – Emerging Leaders
Future decision-makers meet experienced politicians from all over the world and enter into an open intergenerational dialog.

Zeitenwende on tour in Munich

Conflicts, crises, wars: the world is experiencing destabilization. How must we shape our foreign and security policy in order to preserve democracy, freedom, the rule of law and prosperity in our country and in Europe? What must we do to defend the security of Germany and our allies?
Discuss your questions at Zeitenwende on tour. The Townhall will take place as part of the 60th Munich Security Conference in the Komödie of the Hotel Bayerischer Hof.

MSC Innovation Night 2024 – Making More out of “Stronger Together”

The seventh MSC Innovation Night will place a particular emphasis on partnerships. While the imperative for accelerating innovation and adoption has been accepted throughout the Alliance, views, and experiences of means to reach that end and the kind of partnerships needed to enable and spread innovation diverge widely. The Munich Security Conference, in partnership with the Cyber Innovation Hub of the Federal Armed Forces, seeks to provide a platform for the debate of best practices and lessons learned and is thrilled that some of the most accomplished and forward-thinking minds from the defense and innovation sectors have already agreed to speak at this year’s Innovation Night.

MSC Concert

The Munich Security Conference (MSC) and the Münchener Kammerorchester (MKO) are delighted to invite you once again to this year's MSC Concert at Munich's Cuvilliés Theater. In a time of crisis, upheaval and uncertainty, the event is entitled "Furor and Harmony: The Art of Diplomacy".
The evening will begin with a panel discussion from 19:00 - 20:00, moderated by Stefan Kornelius (Editor-in-chief of the Politics Department, Süddeutsche Zeitung, Munich). The panel will include Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer (Former Minister of Defense, Federal Republic of Germany, Berlin) and Alexander Graf Lambsdorff (Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Russian Federation, Federal Foreign Office, Moscow). Rolando Villazón (tenor) and Nombulelo Yende (soprano) will perform the following concert part of the evening. The program includes selected overtures, arias and ballet music by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The conductor is Stefano Montanari.
